Car history:
2) 1968 Corvette Stingray Coupe. British Green, Turbo Hydra-Matic Trans, Positrack Axle 30Br, AM/FM Radio, Tinted Glass, Telescopic Steering Wheel, Speed Warning Ind, Power Steering and Rear Stabilizer. These are the items listed on the original sticker on the car. Car comes with a pile of documentation from 1968 to present. 327 Motor. This car is complete. It's spent most of its life in Florida and California. Frame and undercarrage are fine. Engine runs smooth. Body needs to be repainted and there is a weird crack in the rear quarter on the drivers side. Bought the car to repaint and drive but haven't the time. Car is all there. Just had the headlight pistons replaced and the wiper door bushings and pump replaced. I Bought it a month ago from a friend who bought it about 13 months ago. He sent it to a corvette repair shop where it sat because the shop owner kept putting it off. He was sick of being out off on the car and finally took it back. He didn't know what to dowith it so he offered it to me for less than he owned it for in hopes that I would restore it. End story, I have no space or time so I am offering it for what I am into it. August 29, 2010.
1) 1968 CHEVROLET CORVETTE SPORT COUPE. 327 cubic inch 300 horsepower V-8. Original build sheet and window sticker. British green with turbo hydro-matic transmission. Positrac axle 308R. AM/FM radio. Telescopic steering wheel. Speed waring indicator. Power steering. Bought new in NY then shipped to California were it spent most of its lift. Fully documented. Have complete folder with all documentation on this vehicle, which includes all transaction with Chevrolet about service and the purchase. Paint work was from shipping damage to California back in the 70's other that it would be original. Rear quarter has a crack which is pictured. Interior is like new, totally original. Steering wheel and shifter is very nice. Radio does not work. Car was ordered with no power windows. All glass is original and factory tinted. Tires and brakes are new. Car runs and drives very nice. Headlights have vacuum leak so they do not go up and down. Car has the original rims and center caps. Car does have aftermarket exhaust but it is very tasteful and the company is Ansa. The car was ordered for a gentleman from New York, have all documentation on this. The car was selected by the plant manager to be gone through before delivery for the man that ordered this car, paper work shows he worked for the U.S. Nuclear Dept. The car has a set of air horns on it, was added at some time. This is a very special car, the care and the saving of all of the paperwork makes it such. Car also has t-tops and the tach is not working. Colors from the trim plate. 92,571 miles from the odometer. November 2, 2008.
